If you are thinking of going to Smileboston -- go! What a great office and staff, and Dr. Spitz is a joy to work with and excellent at what he does. I evaluated a few options, as I was looking to do some extensive work. Dr. Spitz took the time to work with me and suggest some items, and then I decided to go with Smileboston. I had a great experience, the price was fair, and I was very happy with everything they did. This is a very well-run, organized, professional shop. I almost never write reviews, felt like I had to do it here!

Anyone looking for a good dentist please don't trust those online 5 star reviews that don’t align with the competence of this dentist. Two years ago, I had a tooth filling come out. I had no symptoms at all at that time, since I am a newcomer to Boston, I rely on online reviews on where to go for various needs. Since Dr. Spitz put so many self-assured praises on the internet, I went to Smileboston Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry for a re-filling. Since that re-filling, I have started having endless poor results: During the re-filling, Dr. Vitoria Kaplan had damaged the nerve in my tooth, so I ended up needing a root canal procedure. The crown was so poorly built that in May of last year, the crown came off. I then went to see Dr. Russell Taylor to address this, he had not mentioned any issue with the tooth at the time, but simply put the crown back and ignored there was a cavity under the crown. After two months, the crown had come off again, I then saw Dr. Steven Spits in August, and he had decided to do a tooth lengthening procedure. Immediately following this procedure, I had developed a serious infection around the tooth and a big pus fistula on the gum, and a cone-beam(CT) showed that there had been substantial bone loss, root fracture and I inevitably lose this tooth and needing an implant now. I'm hoping to prevent what happened to me from happening to other potential victims. I have submitted my case for board review, after consulting with several dentists, it is so obvious to me that Dr. Spitz's clinical skill is well below standard. See how much time he spent on looking at reviews and writing replies. Please use your time wisely on improving your skills, Dr. Spitz!
